George, for once we both agree on something you said:
“A political candidate who jumps to conclusions without knowing the facts is not a person you want as your commander in chief”

On everything else you said i’ll just say I hope you end up in the same cell as Saddam next to the furnace in hell..Yeah..you, saddam and a big black guy called Bubba…preferably one that you executed while being governor. George, lemme tell you a little secret about Hell. You know why it’s downstairs? So the people that live upstairs can shit and piss on you like you shitted and pissed on them while you were alive. Oh, one more thing: Don’t drop the soap while Bubba’s around…

Bye George.

29OctBush Campaign to Recut Doctored Ad

fake images in bush adINDIANOLA, Iowa – President Bush’s campaign acknowledged Thursday that it had doctored a photograph used in a television commercial and said the ad will be re-edited and reshipped to TV stations.

The photo of Bush addressing a group of soldiers was edited to remove both the president and the podium where he was standing. A group of soldiers in the crowd was electronically copied to fill in the space, aides say.

“There was no need to do that,” said Mark McKinnon, head of Bush’s advertising team who shouldered the blame. “Everyone technically works for me so I accept the responsibility.”

The original photograph shows a sea of soldiers sitting behind the president as he stands at a podium just left of the center of the frame.

Democrats said it is fitting that Bush would fabricate an advertising image.

“This administration has always had a problem telling the truth from Iraq to jobs to health care,” said Kerry spokesman Joe Lockhart. “The Bush campaign’s advertising has been consistently dishonest in what they say. But today, it’s been exposed for being dishonest about what we see. If they won’t tell the truth in an ad, they won’t tell the truth about anything else.”

McKinnon said a video editor he declined to identify was told to edit the picture to focus on a young boy waving a flag. On his own initiative, the editor removed the podium and copied the faces, McKinnon said.

“I didn’t even know it was done,” he said. The doctoring was first revealed on an Internet site. “There was no intention on anybody’s part to try to represent anything that wasn’t true,” McKinnon said

The Bush campaign noted that Bush was addressing a large group of troops in both the original and edited version.

“Bush is talking to the troops, the troops are real,” said Bush spokesman Steve Schmidt said. He noted that the crowd the president was speaking to was much larger than depicted in the ad.

The ad, released Wednesday, is an emotional appeal in which Bush defends his decision to go to war and empathizes with fallen soldiers and their families.

The ad is running on national cable networks and in local media markets in at least one state, Ohio.

28OctUS Gave Date of War to Britain in Advance

By Colin Brown, Deputy Political Editor, The Independent

27 October 2004,

Secret plans for the war in Iraq were passed to British Army chiefs by US defence planners five months before the invasion was launched, a court martial heard yesterday.

The revelation strengthened suspicions that Tony Blair gave his agreement to President George Bush to go to war while the diplomatic efforts to force Saddam Hussein to comply with UN resolutions were continuing.

Alan Simpson, the leader of Labour Against the War, said the documents were “dynamite”, if genuine, and showed that Clare Short was right to assert in her book, serialised in The Independent, that Mr Blair had “knowingly misled” Parliament.

The plans were revealed during the court martial of L/Cpl Ian Blaymire, 23, from Leeds, who is charged with the manslaughter of a comrade while serving in Iraq. Sgt John Nightingale, 32, a reservist from Guiseley, West Yorkshire, died after being shot in the chest on 23 September last year.

The court, at Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire, heard that contingency plans were drawn up by Lt Col Christopher Warren, staff officer at Land Command, Salisbury, Wiltshire, who was responsible for operational training.

Lt Col Warren said US planners had passed on dates for which the invasion was planned. The hearing was told Army chiefs wanted the training for the Army to start at the beginning of December 2002. However, due to “sensitivities” the training was delayed.

The court heard the training for the TA began two months late and for the regular Army one month late. Lt Col Warren was asked what the sensitivities were. He replied: “Because in December there was a world interest. If the UK had mobilised while all this was going on that would have shown an intent before the political process had been allowed to run its course.”

The hearing was adjourned.

28OctRepublican charged with battery of girlfriend over Kerry vote

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – An 18-year-old supporter of President Bush became so angry that his girlfriend was considering voting for John Kerry and was breaking up with him that he imprisoned her in his home, deputies said.

Steven Soper of Lake Worth was charged with aggravated battery, false imprisonment and resisting arrest without violence. He was being held at the Palm Beach County Jail without bond until a mental health assessment is completed.

Soper began pushing and shoving 18-year-old Stacey Silviera Tuesday night when she came to his house to return some of his personal items, deputies said.

“I kill you,” he said, according to the arrest report. “You want (to) live to see the election?”

He held her with a screwdriver and a shard from a broken pot while a deputy tried to separate them, said Paul Miller, a spokesman for the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

The girlfriend broke free and the deputy used a Taser on Soper.

Meanwhile, in Vero Beach, an anti-Kerry demonstrator was charged with felony aggravated assault with a gun Monday after an Kerry supporter said he pointed the gun at his head.

Michael Garone, 52, of Vero Beach, was released from jail Tuesday on his on recognizance.

Veterans were protesting against Kerry a street corner when Trevor Pickering drove up and said “Go Kerry,” according to an arrest affidavit.

Pickering argued with the protesters and he got out of the car and knocked a sign out of a supporter’s hand.

“That’s when (Garone) walked up to my car and stuck a gun to my head,” Pickering said. “I said ‘I’m sorry’ and ‘Please don’t kill me,’ drove away and called the cops.”

Garone admitted he had a gun in his car, but denied pointing it at anyone. It wasn’t clear whether Garone is a veteran.
